TYPICAL USES / APPLICATIONS for GRADE
Lightweight Insulating Concrete Aggregate—Used to formulate insulative, fire-rated, sound-blocking lightweight concretes for use as roof decks, floors, and in-fill walls. Also used to cast statuary and architectural moldings, insulate underground pipes, and as injection well cements.
Masonry Block Loosefill Insulation—Poured directly from bag into block cavities. Will not settle or bridge. Perlite insulation improves heat transmission of a block wall by 50% or more. Acoustical properties of the wall are also significantly improved.
Heat Resistant Applications—Used to insulate rocket stoves or pizza ovens as well as in foundry applications and spray-on fire-resistant coatings.
Horticulture—Water-retentive engineered soils, conditioning native garden and turf soils, and soilless media/potting soil blends.
